Well, everyone seems to be getting on the Barack Obama train now... his winning the election was a dead cert... and the coverage his victory got was truly historic, the first black man to be voted President of America deserves every bit of print, airwave, bit and byte, microwave, and every other form of relay he can get.
What I don't get, and honestly take extreme umbrage to is the way they have already depicted him a the second coming of Christ, and how he is going to clean up the world and undo all the wrong 'W' has done.
While I would love for him to do that, at the end of the day, he is only human, like the rest of us, and even though he going to be the most powerful human being in the world come January, there is only so much he can achieve.
So, fast forward four years, and I hope the same people who shed tears of joy and relief when he got elected don't become the man's biggest critics and lose faith in him, because frankly, he's not going to be able to make too much of a difference, not to what he's been given to work with...
I, on the other hand have realistic faith in him, i have no doubt that he will bring change, but the change is not going to be jaw dropping, or earth shattering, they will be small changes, long term changes, which might not make too much news, but they certainly make a difference.
